Project Details
-
Employees want a mobile way to connect with their employer, instead of filling out a paper form for scheduling that often gets lost. Employees also want a way to connect with their employer through a professional medium.
ScheduleMe allows both employers and employees to communicate anytime anywhere while leaving a digital paper trail.

I began brainstorming through paper wireframes. After narrowing down features I thought would looked and function best I created mockups.
-
I began by creating personas and user journey maps to better understand my goal demographic.
Beginning research included competitive audits on companies such as Kronos. With Kronos I found that it did not allow for anything outside of checking a schedule and time-punches. Allowing for features such as messaging with employers became a priority.
I also conducted usability studies using my low-fidelity prototype with people currently employed between the ages of 18-29. They expressed the need for a way to request time off as well as being able to select shift times. These findings were added to my high-fidelity prototype.
-
From the first round of mockups I created a low-fidelity prototype to ensure the app moved and functioned as I envisioned it.
After the first round I began to create my high-fidelity prototype which included adding responsive buttons, colors, typography, and iconography for both computer and mobile device versions. I also added time off request options, and filter options in the Self Scheduler.
-
Moving forward, I would love to add more features such as the ability to schedule yourself for multiple employers.
